Independence Day Gift for India – Indra Nooyi does India Proud August 15, 2006

This year has brought in great news for India, and after Mittal making Entreprenaurs out here in India proud, it was time for corporate world to realise the importance of India. Indra Nooyi, CEO – Pepsi Co., first Indian women to become a CEO for a FORTUNE 100 Company, has made every one out here proud. Incidentally Indra Nooyi, comes from Chennai, the place where I am doing my Management Education.
Indra Nooyi, was CFO and President of Pepsi co.prior to becoming CEO. To add to the great news, was the timing for the news which came around 00:00 midnight on 15th August, our independence day.
Congrats, CEO – Pepsi Co. and India, i am sure is lucky to have people of such high stature who have been able to conquer and held Indian flag high.
“First women to become a CEO for a FORTUNE 100 Company” Thats a real gift for India on Independence Day…
Whenever a bright woman is recognized in the business community, then I know the world is a better place. Kudos to Indra Nooyi.
She has to be exceptional in every way. Congratulations to her and to India.
